Any individual who is currently undergoing a course of study in any approved institution of surveying in Nigeria

Any member who aspires to enroll as a member shall be one with SURCON Registration with active professional practice. He shall be entitled to the use of the designation MNIS (Member of the Nigerian Institution of Surveyors).

At least a First Degree or Professional Diploma/ Post Graduate Diploma in Surveying and Geoinformatics or its equivalent recognized by SURCON. HND in Surveying and Geoinformatics. Any person who has passed the SURCON examination for Technologist with at least two years’ post qualification experience

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

The aims and objectives of the Association shall be to compliment the Nigerian Institution of Surveyors (NIS), Surveyors Council of Nigeria (SURCON) and The Association of Private Practicing Surveyors of Nigeria (APPSN) in their efforts to: Uphold the ethical values of all aspects of the Private Survey Practice guidelines.

  • Promote strict adherence to the standards set by the regulating authorities for the Practice of the Profession.
  • Investigate and deal with any form of malpractices by any erring Surveyor in accordance with SURCON, NIS and APPSN guidelines.</span
  • Enhance the image of Surveyors in Private Practice.</span
  • Ensure adequate and standardized remunerations for services rendered by her members in agreement with NIS.
  • Monitor market trends and initiate from time to time review of remunerations payable for Surveying Services with appropriate consultation with NIS
  • Seek the welfare of her members.
  • Organize regular workshops and seminars to  her members' knowledge at least twice (2) in a year.
  • To encourage formation of consultations among members
  • To encourage cordial relationship among others Sub groups of NIS
